There are many millions of articles and websites dealing with Asthma information and most of them are very good. Some deal with Asthma causes while others will tell you about different Asthma cures, and how to deal with an attack should one happen to you or your child.
The aim of this article is to point out the basics of Asthma information which should give you enough knowledge to deal with any situation when it arrives.
With most disease or illnesses knowledge is the key, and if you know what to expect you can deal with the problem in a calm manner. If you have a child that suffers and he or she has an Asthma attack the last thing you want for your sake or your Childs sake is to go into panic mode.
Firstly you must understand that a person with Asthma has a narrowing of the air ways to the lungs, and when an attack happens these airways close making it almost impossible to breathe. By taking the proper inhalers this closing of the airways can sometimes be relived, yet if it gets worse you must seek medical advice.
On looking at many websites on Asthma causes you see a variation on what different people say the causes are. Some will go down the route of dust mites in the house, while others blame pollution or the e numbers in food. But like most people that suffer with allergies that bring on attacks no two people are the same, although a lot can be categorised as similar.
Another thing that I feel is worth mentioning is the fact that if Asthma is set of by allergies it may be worth while trying something my Father took, and his Father before him took. Yes its one of those things that have been handed down from generation to generation, and this was for Hay fever which like Asthma can affect many millions of people each year. Again I must stress that Hay fever is set off by allergies just like Asthma. Most people take anti-histamines yet years ago they took a spoon full of local honey twice or three times a day which is said to contain pollen which causes hay fever. By taking the local honey it is believed that you build up a natural defence against the allergies.
Often I have heard different people say with any form of illness anything is worth trying, and as honey is one of natures natural products it might be worth a try.
