Asthma Disease
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that makes the bronchial airways particularly sensitive to irritants such as air pollution. Asthma is characterized by attacks of breathlessness, tight chest, wheezing and coughing which are caused by the airways becoming narrowed and inflamed. Some people may have these symptoms all of the time and others may be normal between attacks. Asthma sign and symptom vary from person to person. It may appear suddenly, or they may occur regularly. Asthma cannot be cured, but most people with asthma can control it so that they have few and infrequent symptoms and can live active lives.
Asthma is generally broadly classified to be of two types:
1. Extrinsic
-is caused by this type of immune system response to inhaled allergens such as pollen, animal dander or dust mite particles.
2. Intrinsic
-can be triggered by infection, exercise, or drugs such as aspirin.
What Causes it?
Asthma attacks can be caused by many things like exercise, cold air, allergies, and breathing in certain chemicals. A person having an asthma attack should use an inhaler or go and see a doctor for a prescription. The best known inhaler is a canister that delivers a metered dose. Asthma is treated with two kinds of medicines: quick-relief medicines to stop asthma symptoms and long-term control medicines to prevent symptoms.
The main cause for asthma in humans is allergy due to breathing of impure air. The air purifiers alleviate asthma and can totally remove the carriers of asthma allergies by providing superior quality of air to breathe. They improve the life span of asthma patients by filtering the smoke in the room, reducing the dust particles floating in the air and other contaminants.
Some foods can provoke attacks by causing an allergic reaction. At the same time Food can also help to control the severity of an attack.
Asthma diet must include pasta, bread, muffins, eggs, cheese, yogurt, beef, poultry, salads, and fruits. Drink coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Avoid alcoholic beverages because this will only make you sick.
